Maalavika, who has given life to many child characters and resides in every Malayalees hearts, is becoming a heroine. Siddhiq Chenamangaloor, the first time producer, will be producing `Oomakuyil Paadumbol' and Malavika would be playing the role of a Muslim girl.

Directed by Kamal, Malavika who bagged the best child artist award for `Karuthapakshigal', is acting in a matured role in the movie. Akash Roshan, son of noted director M Padmakumar, will play the lead role. Veteran actor Shankar would also be cast in an important role.

Reema is a girl who shows utmost interest in malayalam literature and relishes the sweetness of the language in her heart. When she is compelled to study in a English-medium school, as part of status symbol, the difficulties she faces in overcoming it is what makes Oomakuyil Paadumbol.
